How to choose the right RV stickers

You probably already have an idea of what kind of RV sticker you want for your vehicle. But then come the questions: how to determine the size of a decal and how to choose the right color of a decal that best suits your vehicle?

At Camperprints, we have carefully selected 15 colors, including 12 shades of the most common colors. We have done this deliberately to make choosing easier for you. Of course, you’d rather be traveling than fretting over the color of your new decal.

These are just guidelines, stick wherever and however you like! (Preferably not on a tree!)

How to determine the size of RV stickers?

As in photography, there are several factors you can consider when determining the size of a sticker. This is often referred to as the golden ratio, which can also apply to stickers. The eye wants something, too. But how do you apply this in practice?

Once you have chosen a surface where you want to apply the decal, there are several options to consider.

1. You stick your sticker in a corner.

Determine the size of the decal based on the angle. Make sure there is always at least 3 cm space along each side. The size of the sticker can be determined as you wish.
If the sticker is suitable to be placed against the corner, this is of course also possible.

2. You want a large sticker on a large surface and in the middle.

Divide the height of the surface into 4 parts and let the sticker take up 2 parts. For example, if the height is 1 meter, the decal will take up 50 cm. This leaves 25 cm above and below for a balanced appearance.

3. Text and quote stickers at the bottom of a door.

Do not place the decal directly against the bottom of the door to avoid both visibility and possible damage.
Divide the height of the door by 8 and place the decal between the 1/8th and 2/8th part of the door. It is recommended to place the decal about 1/8 of the bottom of the door.

How to choose the right color of RV stickers?

Choosing the perfect color for your decals often depends on personal preferences. Do you want the decal to stand out or subtly recur? The choice is yours!

1. You want the sticker to stand out.

If you want the decal to stand out, choose a contrast color that contrasts with the color of the surface. For example, if the surface is black, choose white, orange, blue, red, yellow, or green. It speaks for itself in this case.

2. You want a subtle look for the decal.

For a subtle look, it is best to choose a color that is in harmony with the surface. For example, with a red surface, you can choose a pink or purple decal. For a green surface, for example, you can consider blue or brown. For white, you can use gray, and so on. As an example, we have a sticker that says “Leave no trace” in white on a white surface. This one hardly stands out, but the message is clear.
